Dinner Time

By Beth

As the twins are nearing their first birthday, they’ve become less interested in drinking their bottles and much more interested in eating meals. Here are a couple shots of them having tofu, brocolli, and apple slices for dinner.  Dominik’s eye looks strange because he rubbed yogurt in it during breakfast.

Is it August yet? Seriously, they’re going to be high schoolers tomorrow.

Scarlett’s face while eating broccli is hysterical.

Do they eat the WHOLE PLATE? Wow! And I thought Ned was a good eater. Can they hold up their own sippy cups? My kids (well, only Ned) put the sippy cup in the mouth but don’t know how to tip it back.

Hi Mommy, Esq. Oh no, they eat at most 1/3 of the plate. I usually eat 1/3 and the rest ends up on the floor or the wall or in the hair. Mine learned to tip cups in the bathtub – I let them hold a cup (without the top and with clean water, not bath water) up to their mouth and drink from it. Of course, it pours all down their front, but now when I give the sippy cup they (vaguely) know what to do.
